Official Palestinian Authority maps, including one hoisted by PA chief Mahmoud Abbas erase Israel , replacing the entire territory with Palestine. This is not new. The Palestinian Authority, basically since its inception, has been "erasing" Israel in children's programming about "Palestine" that includes the entire territory of Israel, in weather maps on the local news, in school textbooks.

At a moment when direct talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority have supposedly dissolved over settlement building, it is worth remembering that while the goal for Israel is to reach a two-state solution with the Palestinians, it seems possible if not likely that what the Palestinians still dream about is a one-state solution.
