In an echo of the Dubai assassination of a Hamas leader, an alleged Israeli spy who posed as a pro-Hamas militant was arrested in Algeria for using a fake passport, it was reported yesterday.
The suspect spent more than 10 days in the North African country before he was seized, said the Algerian newspaper Ennahar El Djadid.
He had a fake Spanish passport identifying him as Alberto Vagilo, 35.
