The Supreme Court cleared former President Rolandas Paksas of disclosing state secrets to a campaign contributor and adviser, Yuri Borisov, a Lithuanian-Russian businessman suspected of links to Russian organized crime. Mr. Paksas was impeached by Parliament last year, less than 14 months after he took office, accused of violating his oath of office. He has vigorously defended himself, saying he is a victim of political revenge.
