Two people were killed and at least six wounded Tuesday in Kurdish protests that have raged since the only Kurdish party in Parliament was banned by the Constitutional Court last week. A shop owner in Bulanik, in eastern Turkey, fired on a group of Kurdish protesters who attacked his business because he had refused to close it in support of the protests. The group smashed windows and set shops and bank offices on fire, the mayor said.
