A former Rwandan Baptist pastor went on trial in Finland on Tuesday, accused of participating in the 1994 Rwandan genocide. The pastor, François Bazaramba, 58, who sought asylum in Finland in 2003 and has been in detention since 2007, is accused of orchestrating the slaughter of 5,000 people. Mr. Bazaramba, who denies the charges, faces a life sentence for his role in the killings, which in Finland means a minimum of 12 years in jail.
