Lebanese commandos recaptured a fugitive from an Islamic militant group, Fatah Islam, a day after he broke out of a high-security prison in a spectacular escape. The army said the fugitive, Taha al-Hajj Suleiman, had been sent to military intelligence for interrogation. He was one of eight Fatah Islam members who staged a prison break on Tuesday, when they sawed through the bars of their cell windows and scaled down the prison building using blankets tied together. Mr. Suleiman jumped over the final wall by standing on another’s shoulders, but the others were caught by the police before they could get over the wall. Fatah Islam fought a three-month battle against the army inside the Palestinian refugee camp Nahr el-Bared in northern Lebanon in 2007.
